History of Divide

Divide was first settled in the late 1800s and was named Hayden's Divide by a man known as Ferdinand Hayden and it was the point where the waters of the South Platte and Arkansas Rivers separate. Hayden surveyed the area prior to its settlement. Some time later, the name was shortened to Divide. Divide, then and now, is a small community that is known best for its majestic mountains and beautiful scenery.

Parks and Recreation

Nature lovers will appreciate the nearby Mueller State Park as well as scenery that is a photographers delight.
